HIV + Online Dating: What do the two have in common?

Today, I was searching the internet looking for what all was going on for World Aids Day. I ran across a website promoting online dating service. My first thought was what does online dating have to do with HIV. Then I read on....the website stated that there is a online dating service just for people who are HIV positive. I was like what????
If you don't believe me then look for yourself at PozMatch.com.
PozMatch.com is an HIV Positive Owned Social Community. We have thousands
of members from around the world. People just like you who are interested in
meeting others for friendship, companionship, and of course, love. You'll find
people from all walks of life and we are here to help you find Your Special
Someone.

PozMatch.com is an all-inclusive community. It's for everyone regardless of
sexual orientation, race, religion, and gender.

Well after reading further, I found out that there are a lot of people using the site who are listed as HIV negative and infected with HIV looking for love. At first, I was like who ever created this website is just out to make money . Then after thinking about this a little bit longer, I figured why not??
They can find some one who they can be honest with right off the bat. This means they can share experiences, emotional stress, where to find the best services, and most of all offer a support system for one another.

I think that this is a great idea. Talk about market segmentation!! I look forward to seeing one day when there is a specialized service for people with seasonal allergies. This will do me some good.

I would like to share a video to help destroy the myth that you can't show love to someone with HIV.

I post this video only to educate and eliminate the stigma once and for all. Show some
love to those battling HIV or AIDS. I look forward to the day when they discover the cure for this disease once and for all.
